If you’re a school that has created their own app with Digistorm, you can link Flexischools easily by placing a direct link on the home screen for a better parent user experience.
We’ve found that parents respond best when you place a tile on the home screen of your Digistorm app labelled “Canteen” or “Events” or something similar.
How to add a tile (recommended):

Request the change to add or edit a tile on the home screen
Here’s some recommended text that you can copy and paste into your email:Hi Digistorm,
I’m from [your school here], would you please update/create a tile on the home screen, that is labelled [Canteen, Event, Shop – please choose whichever is relevant to you] and use the following link: https://user.flexischools.com.au/deeplink/home
Thanks,
[Your name]. - The update should happen quickly and Digistorm will keep you updated on this
We also recommend conducting a general review of your home screen tiles to ensure they're labelled clearly for your parents.
Alternative option (not recommended):
A second option is to add Flexischools to your "Links" section, but we advise against this. We've found that parents often can't find this location and that the links section can get easily disorganised, resulting in a frustrating experience for your parents.
- Login to the backend of your app with your Digistorm username and password
- Add the new link and choose an icon for the link
- Save and then refresh your app to see the change
If you use this option, we highly recommend advertising to your parents heavily to ensure they find the right link.
