The camera on your FlexiPOS tablet is able to be used as a scanner for your student cards. This is faster than manually entering the student number and doesn't require you to maintain an additional accessory, like a barcode or RFID scanner.
How does this work?
If this isn't already your default scanning method, select the 'Camera' option below the Total basket value to show the camera. Then it's just as simple as holding the card's barcode in front of the camera.
Setting as Default
To make things even faster, you can set this as your default scan method in your app's settings.
Do this by:
- Tapping the menu button at the top left,
- Selecting the 'Settings' tab,
- Changing the 'Default Scan Method' dropdown to 'Device Camera'
